Meet the Candidates

Come meet the five candidates running for Sausalito City Council on September 10, 9:30 am at Dita's Marin.
This event is being held in lieu of the September Business Exchange Meeting.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration required by 9/9.

Five candidates will vie for three open seats on the Sausalito City Council in the General Municipal Election on November 5, 2024.

The following candidates will appear on the ballots of Sausalito voters:
• Jacqueline Amrikhas
• Melissa Blaustein (incumbent)
• Sandra Bushmaker
• Ian Sobieski (incumbent)
• Steven Woodside

Coffee and light snacks: 9 am – 9:30 am
Forum: 9:30 am

Welcome and Introduction of five candidates (5 minutes)
• Candidate’s Opening Statement (2 minutes per candidate, 10 minutes total)
• Candidate shares their background and reason for running for council

Pre-Submitted Questions (15 minutes)
• Moderator asks questions provided by GAC
• Candidate provides responses (questions submitted prior to event)

Audience Q&A (20 minutes)
• Audience members ask questions directly to the candidate
• Candidate responds to each question

Business Exchange Forum is held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 9-10:30am. The locations of the forums vary each month. Check our Event Calendar for set meeting locations.

Business Exchange is a monthly business meeting where Chamber members, the Chamber Chair and CEO, the City Manager and representatives from the Chamber Board of Directors and City Council meet to discuss current business issues and to promote upcoming events and programs. Hosting a Business Exchange Meeting or a After Hours event is a great opportunity to showcase you business.

The Business Exchange Committee sets the Agenda of topics to be presented and discussed, one week in advance of the meeting. Agendas are emailed our to members on the Friday prior to the meeting.
