Writing Workshop with Authors Grant Faulkner & Kara Vernor

In this 90-minute workshop, Grant Faulkner -- co-founder of 100 Word Story and San Francisco’s Flash Fiction Collective, and author of The Art of Brevity—will discuss how a different type of creativity emerges within a hard compositional limit, exploring the many different forms that short shorts can take. He will be in conversation with flash fiction author Kara Vernor (Because I Wanted To Write You A Pop Song). Grant will also lead a writing exercise that illuminates the aesthetic possibilities of the short form, so come prepared to write and explore the expansiveness of succinctness.
